Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Yippee! I got some money in from my make money online sites so that was a little bonus for me because I had forgotten about them and did not include them in my budget. In the spirit of keeping the bills current I sent off (well Electric Orange’s automatic bill pay did it for me) a payment to Discover card.
Income for the day: $15.00
Expenses for the day: $63.50
Income for the month to date: $942.80
Expenses for the month to date: $783.01
I am proud of myself
I just wrote the post recently about getting twelve FREE contact lens cases and I got some good feedback from my comments and personal emails.
I am glad that I helped some people out with finding something for free that they could actually use. I am also proud to say that because of my little post some readers learned that they were really not taking the best possible care of their eyes and their contact lenses.
Since the cases are FREE I really hope that we all will now change our cases more frequently in order to protect our eyes for the future.

Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Oh boy the expenses are just adding up…..and up….and up. I sent off the cell phone bill money to T Mobile who I am still upset with (read the saga here, here and here). I also sent off a minimum-ish payment to one of the credit cards. This is in keeping with my debt snowball. The card has a 0% interest rate on it still so I am paying the minimum on it while I tackle some of the higher interest debt.
Income for the day: $0.00
Equifax hates me
Here is some more credit report madness. I had ordered a credit monitoring service a month ago and the trial period was ending so I called in to cancel it. I took one last look at my alerts and finding none decided to close the account. Then after it was closed I decided to reenter the system to look at my credit scores.
I was shocked to see that my scores had dropped by a few points since the last time I checked them. This was really surprising to me because it was not because of any new requests for credit. The biggest thing I saw was that the ‘late’ payment on my loan in December of last year was STILL showing up on Equifax.

Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Got the last of the subbing money in and that will be it because I was not able to sub this month at all due to various reasons. Had to get some stuff at Wally World that I needed in a rush.
Income for the day: $264.78
Expenses for the day: $60.31
Income for the month to date: $927.80
Expenses for the month to date: $713.82
Net effect: $213.98
Did I save money: Don’t let the numbers fool you, I still have credit card bills to pay this month.
How to get twelve FREE contact lens cases
I signed up for the Bausch & Lomb Wear and Care club and got a nice surprise in the mail. I found the link on a blog and thought there was no way they were actually going to give away a one year supply of contact lens cases but I decided to give it a try any way.
UPDATE: The program has since ended and there is no word on the site when it will be up again.
