Simplifying my Money

Posted by LuLuGal | May 27, 2007 .

I have been posting every other month about the amount of money I spend or save every day in an effort to track my finances. I had the accounts in Microsoft Money set up but I realized that they are very complicated. For instance, I have Food broken down into categories like seafood, frozen dinners, eating out, bread, and drinks(and there are more categories than this). I have Personal broken down into categories like eyes, fragrance, clothing, mouth and body.

How to save money on postage

Posted by LuLuGal | May 26, 2007 .

Step 1: go Jagular’s site and read this post.

Step 2: stop laughing and actually do what he says

Step 3: go directly to jail. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200.00

The ‘tips’ in this are soooooooooooooo funny. My fave is the one on postage and so I just HAD to link to it.

My Open Wallet is the newest kid on the blogroll

Posted by LuLuGal | May 26, 2007 .

I have just added My Open Wallet to my blogroll. There is an interesting post with a few words about links on this blog that I really appreciated. I like the stars to differentiate between the frequency of reading on the blogs. Now my blogroll is short and I am subscribed to the feeds of each blog on my roll that has a feed so I end up visiting and reading everyone on my blogroll every day. Yes I have too much time on my hands!

Carnival of Credit Report Stories: Think Pink, Do Blue Edition

Posted by LuLuGal | May 25, 2007 .

Welcome to the 7th edition of the Carnival of Credit Report Stories Think Pink, Do Blue Edition.

I went to a party one time where the theme was Think Pink, Do Blue and the ladies wore pink while the men wore blue. I decided to apply this theme to this carnival so we could get a quick visual of the people who submitted articles.

Chase rewards cards and emails do not sync.

Posted by LuLuGal | May 25, 2007 .

I got my Chase cards a couple of weeks ago and I have used both for various reasons. I have even gotten the first statement online on the rewards card and sent in a payment.

Today I get an email saying my cards will be arriving soon, if I have not already received them, and I need to activate them before I can use them.

Huh?

Let’s get in sync with the emails and the physical mail here people.

A funny thing happened at work today.

Posted by LuLuGal | May 24, 2007 .

Okay well it was not funny ha ha but after everything was done we managed to laugh at what happened. I told you guys and gals about how I got some hours over at the bookstore right? Well they are doing some work on the ceiling now during the break between semesters and everything has just been crazy.

We have been working in a frenzy to get the store presentable for the rush on Tuesday when summer classes begin and the bookstore staff and the remodel people have been doing a crazy dance to stay out of each other’s way.
