Debt free…that’s me (at least with regards to ONE debt)
I walked into the bank and plopped down some cash that I had and said that I wanted to close out the loan. The balance left on the loan was a small amount but I felt so proud at being able to just have that dreadful reminder of a bad time in my life taken away.
I will no longer have to deal with that particular bank so I can begin to erase the experience from my mind. This is one less payment that I will have to send off every month and I can now take the money that was going to the Colt loan and apply it to my debt snowball and attack another debt.
Tracking my finances in June: day 25
Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Income for the day: $522.50
Expenses for the day: $113.91
Income for the month to date: $1443.55
Expenses for the month to date: $1602.13
Net effect: -$158.58
The cash flow for today looks much better than that of the last few days. I am happy that I will not be doing this daily income versus expenditure in July because the cash flow situation will just be dreadful. I will not be working in July so all bills will be coming out of the little money that is in the ING and other savings accounts.
The baby is here!
I got a text this morning at 7:45 while I was getting up to go to class that the baby was born this morning. yaaaay!!!!
Baby on the way!!!
No I am NOT pregnant. I just got word from my pregnant friend that her water broke so we are anxiously awaiting the birth of the baby.
I was going to go to the hospital with her but I am coughing and sneezing so I think it might be best not to go into the hospital. I will just wait until my friend gets out of the hospital and go visit the newborn and the new mommy when they come back to the apartment complex.
I am so excited, you would think that it was me having the baby…..but that is not for a while still.
Tracking my finances in June: day 24
Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Income for the day: $NA
Expenses for the day: $NA
Income for the month to date: $921.05
Expenses for the month to date: $1488.22
Net effect: -$567.17
This is the accumulation of what happened since I left to go to that conference on Wednesday. Now you may notice that the total expenses for the month to date are lower than what I posted on Wednesday. This is not because I am crazy. I had a few things reversed and then I noticed that Money had duplicated a few transactions and they were showing up on earlier dates.
Getting the carpet shampooed
I am getting the carpet in my apartment shampooed. This is being done by one the students this time around and it is a courtesy built in to our rent I guess. We get one free shampooing every year….it used to be one every six months but I guess it is becoming too expensive for the complex to do now without charging an additional fee.
I am waiting on the guy to come in and get to work because I am really tired right now and I want to take a nap. He did call and say that he would not be able to come in until some time after 4:30 and I do have to prepare for a friend’s baby shower tonight so I wish he would hurry up and get here.
How to prevent yourself from fainting while at the mall
To prevent yourself from fainting at the mall do NOT go into Saks Fifth Avenue stores and look at the fur coats. As I mentioned earlier I am at a conference right now. We got a break to have lunch and walk around so a few friends and I decided to walk around the mall. Some of them had never heard of the Saks store so I told them to come in with me.
One girl rushed over to look at the fur coats (although it is summer in Texas and it was about 96 degrees outside.)
