Step Two to getting rid of Debt
Well after I took the first step and listed all of the credit card debt I had to move on. The next thing that I had to do was make a plan to reduce the debt. I decided to use the debt snowball method which I have written about here as well. I used the debt snowball calculator to estimate when I would be out of debt if I continued to pay the way I always do. Then I experimented with changing a few small things around and was amazed to see the difference that the snowball method makes.
How to Make Money using Other People’s Content
Now that I have your attention I just wanted to let you know that I am not an advocate for using other people’s content to make money without their knowledge. I noticed an incoming link so I clicked over to check out who was linking to me…as I always do. To my surprise I found an article that I had written, word for word posted on someone else’s site.
Check out my Updated Debt Repayment Chart
I have a new chart up over at the No Credit Needed site. I have not been taking down my debt as quickly as some people but I think I am doing okay for now. Click on the link to see my progress.
3 Best accounts to have
Did you know that there are three accounts that you really should have if you want to make the most of your finances? These three accounts are as follows:
- An online checking or savings account with a high interest rate
- A regular checking or savings account with easy access
- Rewards credit card
Online checking/savings
Step one to getting rid of debt
Getting on the road to being out of debt is not easy. It is a long and time consuming process but in the end it is well worth the effort. I started off the process of eliminating my debt by first making a list of all the credit debt I have. I also have automobile debt but since that is such a whopping amount and the interest is low (er than some of my credit cards) I decided not to include it my debt calculations. This does not mean that I am ignoring my loan, just that I am focusing on paying off the credit card debt more aggressively.

Baz and The Incredible Head Power Shower Showerhead..or how to save water
Over at Baz’s blog is a post about ? The Incredible Head Power Shower Showerhead which I thought was interesting. A bit disturbing…but still interesting. Just the name of the shower head sounds a bit weird but hey if he wants to get one then that is his deal. Now I suppose that the navy shower makes sense if you are trying to save water but here is something to think about. In an apartment complex the water is an average of the usage by the entire complex.
