The DOLP Snowball method to pay off Credit Cards

Posted by LuLuGal | September 24, 2007 .

Hi everyone, I just found this post on Yahoo about the DOLP method of paying off your credit cards. Now is is just me or does this method look familiar to you?

The DOLP method looks just like the original snowball method. It is in fact just another type of snowball method because at the heart of snowballing debt is the concept that you pay the minimum on everything except ONE account.

snowball.jpgThen you pay as much as you can on the Golden Child or the Chosen One which is the account you are focusing on. The only thing about the DOLP method is that you now have to do some calculations in order to pick which account is going to be the Chosen One.

Update on the New Checking Account

Posted by LuLuGal | September 20, 2007 .

I recently opened a new checking account because there is no Wells Fargo in the area where I live. I wanted the account so that I could handle daily transactions and be able to deposit any of the new checks that would be written to me.

The bank promised a Totally free checking account and I was very excited. I looked over the terms and could not find any usage fees anywhere so I ran over to the bank and opened the account. Then I spoke to them about the checks. I did not want any checks from the bank because they would normally charge you for ordering checks. The teller told me that I could put a deny request on the checks and they would not order me any.

ING drops my rate….and drops in my eyes!

Posted by LuLuGal | September 19, 2007 .

Awwwwww…I have not been able to really check on things today and then I noticed the plethora of posts about ING dropping the rates on the accounts.

This is in response to the interest rate action taken by the FED.

I love my ING accounts so much but this has me really disappointed. The drop in interest rates means less money for me. This means I am making less money online and therefore I will be saving money less.

Bad ING…..go sit in the corner.

Right now I am reading this book called Getting Things Done. Honey gave me this book to read because he thought it would really help me to become even more organized.

The ideas in the book are simple to do and easy to follow. It takes a little planning and work in the beginning but then once you have the system down you find that it really does make life a little easier.
