How I am NOT saving money on my electric bill

Posted by LuLuGal | October 23, 2007 .

Well you guys and gals know about how I am always looking for a way to save some money where I can.

Yesterday I decided that my comfort was more important than a few cents on the electric bill.

We had a cold front move through my part of the globe yesterday and we had some strangely cold temperatures.

Normally when I am at home I would just use my space heater to warm up the room that I was in.

How I got my Discover rate dropped

Posted by LuLuGal | October 22, 2007 .

Today I was taking a look at my credit report and noticed that my credit score was looking very nice indeed.

I decided to call up the credit card company and see if they would lower my rates on any of my cards. My Discover card currently stands at 20.99% so I spoke to the representative.

She informed me that the rate could only go down to 18.99% right now but that I could call back in two months to see if they had a better rate for me.creditcards.jpg

Wow, for the first time in a few days I have not sent off credit card payments. The payment this time was the insurance on the car, which I put on the Chase card so I could get the points.

How I saved money by bagging my Lunch

Posted by LuLuGal | October 20, 2007 .

On Thursday the staff was being given lunch by some members of the community in order to show their appreciation.

Everyone was talking about the lunch and people who usually brought their lunch said they would not be bringing anything in.

I decided to bring my lunch just in case there was something I did not like…or in case the food ran out by the time I had to take my lunch break. One lady told me I should not bother, but I told her I was a very picky eater (remember my adventures with green beans?) and I just wanted to be safe.
