According to an article from the Star, St. Lucia has been voted as the World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination for 2007. I know this is a bit late but it is still great news.
When you are looking for the site for your honeymoon, or just a place in the Caribbean that is a great vacation, don’t forget to check out the Helen of the West: St. Lucia.

It is supposed to be REALLY cold on thursday and all I can think about is going to the beach in St. Lucia. I am dreaming of Pigeon Point beach and I can feel the water in my mind. I might even go to Anse LaRaye beach since our house is about 5 minutes from the beach.
Okay now why did I start thinking about this? Now I am craving a beach lime. I can just see myself taking some baked macaroni and red beans and fried fish and lime squash and rounding up some people and going to the beach.

It is getting colder and colder and all I can think of is lying on the beach or walking on the warm sand.
I want some real (read:caribbean) fruit cake and eggnogg.
Of course since the tickets home now cost around $600.00 I would not be saving any money (which is the whole point of this).
Our secretary just bought me some coffee from starbucks (hey I am not about to dish out $3.00 for one cup of coffee…even though it tastes heavenly).

I have been looking for blogs about St. Lucia and just found a few with some really nice comments. Go ahead and see what these people have to say.
Diving in St. Lucia | Castries, Saint Lucia Travel Blog
The diving around Anse Chastanet was beautiful, loads of colours and loads of life. I really, really liked it. Their house reef was excellent. We didn’t see any turtles or sharks, but it was still great in my view.
This author just a made a record of travels all around the Caribbean and I thought it would be a good entry in my search for mentions of St. Lucia.

This one is for the Lucians. I got this and could not resist passing it on.
Did you wear Jarry and socks to go to school?
What about putting rubber bands to hold your socks up just below your knees?
Remember when all you had wash on a weekend were your panties and ribbons…..your mother would wash the socks because you would dirty them so bad by playing without your shoes.
Did you have to carry water in a paint bucket (skillit)?
