How I Save Money At CVS: August 29

Posted by LuLuGal | August 30, 2008 .

Welcome to How I Save Money. I am on a quest to see how much stuff I can get from CVS without spending any extra money out of my pocket.

I only got one item today although I was very tempted to get some more. My item today was totally FREE because I used the same ECBs as what I got back and did not pay tax. The really great thing was that I did not buy ANY more toothpaste even though I had a coupon that would make the toothpaste totally FREE!!!

Transaction 1

Item: CoverGirl Wetslicks lip gloss

Price: $5.99

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $5.99

Coupon used: $5.99 ECB from last week.

(please note that you can click on the image to purchase this lip gloss from the Amazon.com website)

Total out of pocket today: $0.00

Total CVS Extra Care Bucks earned today: $5.99

Total out of pocket to date: $124.50

Total CVS Extra Care Bucks earned to date: $237.76

CVS Extra Care Bucks Used to date: $231.77

CVS Extra Care Bucks Balance to date: $5.99

Join me next week as I look for more ways to save money as I visit CVS.

That would be almost two weeks without a toothpaste purchase. Nice job :)

I am really working on it Rick. I see they have toothpaste next week and I have a coupon so …..I might fall off the wagon. :-)

Ha ha ha! It seems like there are always coupon deals for toothpaste! Your teeth can’t be too clean, right?
