Posted by LuLuGal | December 3, 2008 .

Today I paid $0.50 for $21.47 worth of items.  I am trying to see how much free stuff I can get from CVS while spending the least amount of money.

I only did one transaction today because I was only getting three items as the pickings this week are slim.

Transaction 1

Price: $7.99 each

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $4.00

Item: Efferdent (for mom)

Price: $5.49

CVS Extra Care Bucks earned: $2.00

Total coupons used: $1.00 off two Dove MFR + $19.97 ECB

Total out of pocket today: $0.50

Total CVS Extra Care Bucks earned today: $6.00

Total out of pocket to date: $184.55

Gift Card balance : $0

Total CVS Extra Care Bucks earned to date: $465.07

CVS Extra Care Bucks Used to date: $412.67

CVS Extra Care Bucks Balance: $52.40

Join me next time as I look for more ways to save money as I visit CVS.

CVS is a drugstore (I guess like Walgreens) where you get bonus savings printed out on your receipt. Those bonus dollars are called Extra Care Bucks and can be used at CVS like cash to pay for other items.
