Just threw some money in the trash

I bought some grapes to take to work so I could eat healthy today. The grapes look fine but they taste nasty so I put them in the bin. To me this is the same as just taking the money and throwing it straight into the trash.
I would have liked to take the grapes back to the store to see if I could exchange them or get a refund but I have not been able to get a ride.
