Tracking My Finances In June: Day 4 (Mom in the hospital edition)

Welcome to How I Save Money and tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Income for the month to date: $12.68
Expenses for the month to date: $87.84
Net effect: -$75.16
I ended up spending $30.84 on phone cards (of which I have only used about $10) to make long distance (out of the country) calls to my mother. She called to tell me that she is in the hospital and there is a good chance that she has cancer on her ovaries. This is coming on the heels of me spending time in the hospital and having fibroids removed in February.
As you may be able to tell I am not in a good mood right now.
I will see you guys and gals later as I continue my journey to save money and become debt free!!!!

That’s a bummer on your mom, hope all turns out well for her. Are you taking a difference approach with your daily update now? It seems to me in the past you started out more expenses.

Thanks for the concern about my mom.
As for the expenses…I just paid the rent etc later and they had not posted as of the day I wrote this and set it to go off.
I am back on track with my seriously negative cash flow now
