I have decided to post my weekly spending for the previous week on Fridays so you know how my cash has been flowing for the week. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.
This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.
Medical Emergency: Fibroids Are Back
About two years ago I broke the news to my readers that I had fibroids and I had to have surgery. I spent a great two years without any problems and then in December 2010 I started to get hit with the medical madness again.
I went to the doctor who referred me back to the specialist who took care of me the last time and in February, after all the tests and scans he found out that I had new fibroids that grew again. I wanted to deal with the problem as quickly as possible so I got scheduled for surgery in April to remove those pesky fibroids.

CVS Haul 20 March 2011
On this trip I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $6.48 worth of items. My goal for 2011 is to not spend any money out of pocket, while using coupons and ECBs to get tons of items at CVS, with an initial gift card of $50.
I basically got one item free today because the total cost of the ECB and the coupon I used were more than the cost of the item!!!! I lost $3ECB from last time because they expired since I had not been to CVS in a long time.

I Am Giving Up Sweets For Lent 2011
Every year Catholics around the world give up something or make a sacrifice for Lent as part of our belief. This is to help us refocus our lives on what is really important by showing us what we can do without.
You can choose to either
- -do less of something ‘bad’
- -do more of something good
This year I decided to give up sweets and sweet treats as my way of doing less of something bad. I do tend to eat a lot of sugar over the course of the day and I know that too much of that is not good for me at all. I did try to get a little healthier by using honey instead of white sugar because I tend to use less honey as the taste is stronger.
