Today I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $31.96 worth of items.
I used the gift card from before so my items were not totally free in the true sense of the word….but I did not have to use cash or a credit card or a check to pay for them.

How I Save Money At CVS: 31 May 09
Today I paid $0 out of pocket for $14.27 worth of items. I actually sort of spent money because I used a gift card but since that gift card was earned from spending money on other things I do not count it as ’spending’ since it is not additional money.
I also let Baz use the gift card to get some stuff since I messed up his CVS run last week and I don’t have the receipts but I used up an additional $7.68 for his purchases so the gift card balance below is correct.

I recently logged int0 my Discover credit card account saw that I had some cash back money waiting on me.
I have a balance of $46.97 in my account which I could redeem for cash OR I could get a CVS gift card for $50 by using up $45. Woo hoo.
Guess which one I chose.
Well of course I chose the CVS gift card since you all know how much I love to go shopping for stuff at CVS…especially when I get it for FREEEEEEEE.
