Received My Final Paycheck And Officially Unemployed
So I received my final paycheck from my last job and as of September 1st I will consider myself to be officially unemployed. This is because the new school year has started and I do not have a job.
I was technically unemployed the day I got the letter that my school was being shut down but since I had the summer off I did not really think of it as being official until the new school year started again.
Tracking My Finances In 2011: September Week 1
I have decided to post my weekly spending for the previous week on Fridays so you know how my cash has been flowing for the week. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.
This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.
CVS Haul 29 August 2011
On this trip I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $10.96 worth of items. My goal for 2011 is to not spend any money out of pocket, while using coupons and ECBs to get tons of items at CVS, with an initial gift card of $50.
I had not been to CVS for a while because I was not impressed with the selection of items that gave back ECBs and I was still using up items from the stash that I had collected over the last few months. I want to start replenishing my stocks while things are on sale and I am down to the last tube of toothpaste anyway!!!!
I Have To Go To CVS Because My Best Friend Is Out Of Toothpaste
I usually go to CVS on Sundays and combine coupons and the extra bucks in order to gain free or very cheap items. These are usually things like toothpaste, toilet paper and air fresheners and other items of that nature.
Since I have done well at CVS I normally end up with a few extras of those things and I had been giving them away to my best friend since it did not make sense for me to have 15 body washes in a cupboard just gathering dust.

Dodged A Bullet By Closing An Account
So remember that checking account that I recently closed? Well apparently I closed out the account just in time because the bank sent me a letter saying they were changing the terms of the account.
I got the account while in college and it was classified as a free checking account so I kept it open even though it did not earn any interest. With the new changes to the account there would now be a $7 monthly service fee which could be waived if the following terms were met:
-Daily minimum balance of $1500
Coupon Page Updated
The Coupon Schedule page has been updated! Please make sure to check out the list of coupons that will be available in your area and then decide if you will be getting the Sunday Paper or not.
I usually get the paper on the first Sunday of the month because that paper has 3 to 5 packs of coupons, rather than the regular 2 on most other Sundays.
In August this year the bonus coupons will be in the August 28th paper as the first Sunday in September falls on a holiday weekend…so be sure to grab that last paper of the month to get your extra coupons.
