Did I save money in April: day 3
Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month.
I got my check today FINALLY although I did not get a chance to deposit it today. I will be going to the bank tomorrow but since I have the money to cover the bills until it clears and I will be making the deposit early I am counting that money as the income.
I also got a mini payment for an article that I wrote last month so I am adding that in to the income for the day. Now paypal is showing 7 cents as income for the day also because I got that amount cash back for some purchases that I made that cleared today. You know you get 1% cash back on all purchases made with the card. I normally look at this like getting a discount on the price instead of income but that is how Money is classifying it so I will too.
So now for the expenses for the day. I know the accountants out there will cringe at this but I am just taking things as they clear and show up in Money. I paid a total of $6.92 for a couple of trial offers from places to make money online. These I classified as accounting fees because I could not easily place them into a category. I think I will continue to count any money I spend on places like Cash Duck as accounting fees so that at the end of the month I can see how I much I spent in order to make money online.
Income for the day: $386.17
Expenses for the day: $6.92
Income for the month to date: $386.17
Expenses for the month to date: $330.42
Net effect: $55.75
Did I save money: Yes (so far)
