WalMart gets a Makeover
According to this story on the Wall Street Journal , WalMart is making plans to change the logo.
The new logo could possibly an orange background, featuring the word Walmart and a white starburst.
It will look like this and WallyWorld will be replacing all of its signs to reflect the new image.

I am not too fond of the orange because I think the blue looks a bit classier but hey WalMart does what they do and I will continue to shop there regardless of what the logo looks like.
Happy 4th of July and Spending a Quiet Day
Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July!!!
I will be spending a quiet day at home trying to get some rest. Mother is still in the hospital and might be released later this afternoon if she continues to show improvement.
She managed to eat some jello yesterday so they want to see if she can make the change to semisolid foods for the rest of the day.
Honey has gone down to be with some friends this holiday. He did not want to leave me…but I told him to go ahead and have some fun with his friends. He has been so sweet lately and I think he deserves a break.

Tracking My Finances In July: Day 1
Welcome to How I Save Money and tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Income for the month to date: $7.40
Expenses for the month to date: $745.18
Net effect: -$737.78
On the first day of the month is when I pay rent so I always start off in the negative because I get paid on the last day of the month. Rent increased this month because of normal rent increases and also because I now have to pay insurance for the apartment.
The income for the month was interest off various accounts.
How I Save Money Visits: ChildFreeLife
In order to save money I need to be able to make more money now because I have exhausted the ways I have found to save money. I am looking for a new job and I was recently thinking about my resume. I know I need to change it and then I stumbled across this post called Resume Revolution by ChildFreeLife .
It brought up some interesting points and I think I will be revising my resume along those lines to make it more interesting.

Welcome to How I Save Money and tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Income for the month to date: $ enough
Expenses for the month to date: $ higher than usual
Net effect: $ POSITIVE!!!!!
I got paid so the salary amount is included in the income for the month today. I obviously cannot post my salary so that is why the last day of the month does not show any figures. I had a few more expenses during the month like gas and more food since my mother is back at home and will be here for the next three weeks before the next dose of chemotherapy.
Save Money on Electricity With Solar Panels
I mentioned earlier about how I save money on my electricity bill by using solar lamps in my home. I have become fascinated by the power of solar lights and I want to be able to put in solar panels when I have my own house.
I found a story on CNN where a family is now paying about $30 for electricity because they installed solar panels on their home. This family is using their solar panels and clothesline to slash electricity bills and I love it. They also have a solar oven that they use to cook and claim that it heats food up to 350 degrees, which is enough for the cooking I do anyway.
Shawn Says Quit Complaining about Gas Prices!!!!!
I recently told people about my drawing for a FREE Gas card here at How I Save Money because so many people were talking about how the high gas prices have affected them.
