Simple ways to save money

  • Put that income tax refund to good use and pay down some debt. You may think of this money as a great bonus and try to use it to buy yourself a present. Of course you need a reward at the end of the tax year……but wouldn’t a better reward be less interest on those pesky credit cards? Think about it!

More Virtual Villagers

Posted by LuLuGal | October 30, 2006 .

Today….after playing for three days (with various lengthy breaks) I have ten villagers. I just had one of my master builders die and I did not even notice the little skeleton until I was about 15 minutes into the game.

Since I am playing on the difficult level it has been very hard for me to keep the villagers alive. They eat their food faster than I can provide for them. I do not have enough technology points to get them to learn to fish as yet. Part of this is because the scientists keep leaving the research table to run around being ‘worried about food’ while not doing anything useful at all.

Virtual Villagers

I am playing this very cute little game now called Virtual Villagers. It is played in real time and can run even when the computer is off. It does run a bit slowly but it is a welcome change from faster games like Neverwinter Nights and Diablo.
You have this band of little people who become shipwrecked on a tiny island and you have to help them to survive. There are 16 puzzles on the island that you have to figure out while keeping your villagers alive.

The diving around Anse Chastanet was beautiful, loads of colours and loads of life. I really, really liked it. Their house reef was excellent. We didn’t see any turtles or sharks, but it was still great in my view.

This author just a made a record of travels all around the Caribbean and I thought it would be a good entry in my search for mentions of St. Lucia.

1 vs 100

I am watching this show right now and I am getting more and more annoyed as the game goes on. These people are going up against some of the toughest minds in game shows and they make such ridiculous choices it just boggles my mind. Obviously the questions are going to become more difficult as the dollar value goes up and more people are knocked out. If you struggled with the last question and you have already earned $50,000 why not just take the money and go home? That is what I would do!

Bad bathroom behavior!

Posted by LuLuGal | October 25, 2006 .

I went into the bathroom and was the victim of some Bad Bathroom Behavior. This is when someone does something which violates the bathroom code of conduct and you wonder if they simply do not know or do not care.

Why would you leave the stall without flushing when I could clearly hear your musical tinkling just seconds before? It is not like there was no water available in the bathroom because the person who had just left had flushed. I also flushed after the person in question, hoping it would embarrass her into doing the same but it did not work.
