Sad news
I am sitting having breakfast when I decided to log on to my school account to see what my bill would be for the upcoming semester. At first I thought that there had to be some kind of crazy mistake because the bill was considerably higher than what I expected it to be.
The total was about $3000 more than what I thought it was going to be. In fact it was now $3124.90 higher than I expected. What happened was that a scholarship I was counting on did not come through so the bill is now through the roof according to my estimates. I obviously did not budget to have to pay an extra $3000 so I will have to go to the good old credit cards to solve this dilemma.

Cash Duck
I have been using Cash Duck to see what really happens. It is supposed to be set up where you can do all of these trials of things and then earn points (feathers) and cash. Some of the trials are free and some have an initial outlay. In some cases you have one week to one month to try out the offers and then if you do not cancel before the trial ends then you get charged the monthly fee.
Zack’s stock challenge
I have signed up for the Stock challenge over at Zacks for 2007. All I know about stocks is from a finance class a few years ago so this is one more project for me for the new year. I will have to read up on the stock market, which goes along with one of my goals for 2007 to read for improvement.
