Today is the last day of the month and I need to take a quick look at just where all those dollars went to.
Yesterday I spent 75 cents on a pack of peanuts since I did not bring anything for lunch and I was STARVING in the office. I know that was bad because I could have gotten out of bed just 5 minutes earlier and made myself a sandwich.
I ended up spending just $36.39 on food this month which is really great. My spending on
personal items and household items clocked in at $63.60 which was a little bit over what I had anticipated but it was still under the budget of $70.00.

Well folks I am off to save the world one kid at a time. Today I will be in a content mastery class for children with special needs. I hope everything works out well today and I do not have any problems like LAST friday.
Nothing went seriously wrong….it was just something that happened that irked me. I don’t feel very good today so I am not sure how much I can handle. Let’s just pray.

I ended up going to Wally world to get some more bread and other small items. I ended up spending $31.79 and I still needed to get some things.
The pennies really add up when you count all of them individually. I did not get anything
frivolous… just the things that I usually buy to eat on a regular basis.
Tomorrow I will have the monthly wrap up which will include all of the expenses that were not included in the daily tracking since they were mostly fixed or recurring cash outflows.

I recently applied for an American Express business card so that I could take advantage of
a lower rate on my debt. I figured it might go through because I have two Amex cards and I have been faithfully paying them every month and have not added much to them in the last few months.
I got a letter in the mail saying I had been denied the card because of a few things that showed up on my credit report. They were not negative per se but were just things like too many inquiries in the last twelve months and too high a credit utilization ratio.

The carnival of Credit Cards is up at Thrifty Mommy and I am just having a blast reading the articles.
I have a post in this carnival about doing some balance transfers so you can read that one and then check out the other great articles.
Thanks Thrifty Mommy for hosting the carnival and thanks to every one who submitted stories.
When we share our stories we all benefit because we can learn what to do and what to avoid when trying to keep our finances under control.
Great job everyone!
