Sorry for the Sporadic Posting
Folks I have been moving and in training and ’stuff’ and I have no internet access. Well I can get it but I have to go about fifteen minutes up the street to the McDonald’s to get some wireless access.
I am really sorry about the lack of posts and I will make it up to you soon. Good news!!!!! More details in upcoming posts.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows…how it all ends
I am reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows right now. I started reading Potter a few years ago when I started college. I have been hooked….but not to the point of actually buying the books.
I would always wait and get my copy from someone who already had the books and then read to my heart’s content. Wow, what a way to feed my reading monster and save money at the same time.
I recently got an online coupon to a bookstore and since I am done with college classes (until I start that PhD at least!!!!) then I decided to splurge and get the final Harry Potter book.
Step Five to getting Rid of Debt
Welcome to part five of my Getting Rid of Debt series. My fifth step was to set up my Emergency Fund .
I thought it would make it a little bit more fun to name my fund so I called it my Never Go Back to Fresno Fund ….even though I have never been to Fresno.
Now many people talk about an emergency fund and they put all kinds of restrictions on the fund. They talk about having your emergency fund set at a minimum of $1000 or even being equal to three months of living expenses . Some bloggers even go so far as to say that your fund should be six months of expenses .

Quit Debtor bashing
I am tired of seeing all the bloggers out there who keep ranting about people who are in debt but are not ‘doing anything about it’.
While I am not advocating being in debt by any means we need to realize that sometimes it is just the only way that you can survive. I remember a time not too long ago when I thought my world was going to end because I lost my job. During that time I had to rely on my credit cards because I did not have enough savings to carry me through the upcoming months.
How to save on your Electricity bill
Just do what I have been doing for the past week…..live with someone else. That nets you a BUNCH of savings.
No water bill and certainly no electricity bill.
I was just joking about that one. I am staying with a friend right now out of necessity but that is not something you should go and do on purpose just to save some money.
