Tracking My Finances In June: Day 23
Welcome to How I Save Money and tracking of income and expenses for the month.
Income for the month to date: $34.51
Expenses for the month to date: $1962.03
Net effect: -$1927.52
So far I have been spending money on gas and food since my mother has come up to see the doctor. I was also running the air conditioning while she was here so I think that will bring up the electric bill a little bit. I am spending the rest of the week with Honey because he lives about 30 minutes from the hospital as opposed to me living 1 hour away.

Saved $4 on Parking At the Hospital
So I got my mother to the hospital today for the initial checkup and they decided to admit her because she was dehydrated. The parking for the entire day was $4 and I was going to pay this when I ended up talking to the valet.
He sympathised with me and gave me a free pass for the day so I ended up saving the $4 on parking today.

How I Save Money Toilet Paper Talks
I read two great posts that indirectly related to saving money on toilet paper.
Why Use A Few Sheets When A Wad Will Do at Master Your Card and
Can You Spare A Square? at WiseBread.
I thought those two were very funny and well written and they are about a topic that still seems to be taboo. I remember when I wrote about saving money by buying toilet paper in bulk and what I learned about hospital toilet paper and how some people reacted to those thoughts.
Win a Gas Card from How I Save Money!!
Hi everyone and welcome to How I Save Money!
In keeping with the transportation theme this month from the Wealth, Money and Life Network I have decided to make this contest fit the topic of gas that is on everyone’s mind.
I recently got a $20 gas card from one of my credit card companies for signing up for one of their credit protection plans. I cancelled it in time but I got the gift card anyway so it was like getting the card for free.

According to my Excel spreadsheet I have already paid off all the regular monthly bills except the bill for the LASIK which does not come until the end of the month. I am not paying this bill early because it is at 0% interest for the next three years so there is no incentive to get rid of it while I still have debt that actually carries an interest rate.
