Tracking My Finances In November: Day 30

Posted by LuLuGal | November 30, 2008 .

Welcome to  tracking of income and expenses for the month. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.

This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because I do not get my salary until the last day of the month.

Revisiting Bad CVS Customer Service…Part Four

Posted by LuLuGal | November 30, 2008 .

I usually LOVE going to CVS but there was one time I had a really bad experience with a cashier. This is a series of reposts about that original experience.

Ring Me Up Again

I decided to still get the toothpaste and toothbrush along with some other items that DID have ECBs. I have been at the register for about 20 minutes now..but since there is no one else in line I am patient.  I hand over all my items and all the coupons and the ECBs and tell her to ring me up.

How I Save Money At CVS: November 27

Posted by LuLuGal | November 28, 2008 .

I am on a quest to see how much stuff I can get from CVS without spending any extra money out of my pocket. Today I paid $31.78 for $72.35 worth of items.

I could have paid $9 less if I had checked my ECBs better but I got careless again. I got the ECBs mixed up with some other CVS store coupons and forgot to use them on the first transaction.

The good news is that I now have a ton of ECBs for later use.

10 Wedding Money Mistakes (1 of 10)

Posted by LuLuGal | November 28, 2008 .

I am not getting married BUT I have been reading a few bridal magazines lately. I found out that many people tend to go overboard and go over their budgets when a wedding comes around.

Here is a wedding money mistake that people often make.

1. Not Setting Budget Priorities

It is easy to become over excited when you see all the great things that you can have in the wedding. I have seen so many beautiful dresses and floral arrangements that I want them all.

CVS Thanksgiving Sale Preview

Posted by LuLuGal | November 25, 2008 .

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and that means TONS of FREE stuff at CVS. I got to preview the ad on another site and I made my little ‘want’ list in Google documents.

There are 13 items that will be totally free after extra bucks and that is great if you have some ECBs that you can use. If you can combine those items with coupons then it is even better because it means your ECBs will stretch even further.

I am waiting on the coupons from this Sunday’s paper to get here so I can see if any of them apply to the FREE items.

101 Ways To Magnetize Money

Posted by LuLuGal | November 23, 2008 .

101 Ways to Magnetize Money by Matt Furey is a book about attracting, or magnetizing, money to your life. I received this book from the promoter to review so let’s go ahead to see what I found out.

The first thing I noticed is that the book is a very easy read. Every tip begins on a new page and some are a few sentences long while others are a few paragraphs.

The book is written in simple language and is very easy to follow along. The author suggests other books or websites that he found helpful right inside of each tip so that you can go ahead and look them up for further information.

How I Save Money At CVS: November 17

Posted by LuLuGal | November 21, 2008 .

I am on a quest to see how much stuff I can get from CVS without spending any extra money out of my pocket. Today I paid $0 for $26.49 worth of items.

Zero dollars for all that stuff.

Today was my GREATEST day at CVS ever!!!! It totally made up for the day I lost $1.59 by not paying attention!

The cashier (different from the one who gave me poor customer service) was actually helpful in the best way to use the coupons. She said that I had gotten a great deal and she was a coupon user herself who was happy to see customers like me.
