Received My Final Paycheck And Officially Unemployed
So I received my final paycheck from my last job and as of September 1st I will consider myself to be officially unemployed. This is because the new school year has started and I do not have a job.
I was technically unemployed the day I got the letter that my school was being shut down but since I had the summer off I did not really think of it as being official until the new school year started again.
I Have To Go To CVS Because My Best Friend Is Out Of Toothpaste
I usually go to CVS on Sundays and combine coupons and the extra bucks in order to gain free or very cheap items. These are usually things like toothpaste, toilet paper and air fresheners and other items of that nature.
Since I have done well at CVS I normally end up with a few extras of those things and I had been giving them away to my best friend since it did not make sense for me to have 15 body washes in a cupboard just gathering dust.
Trying To Keep A Positive Outloook
I have been trying to keep a positive outlook on the job search but it has been difficult the longer it goes on. I know it has only been one month and since I would have been on vacation anyway I really have not been ‘not working’, and people have been unemployed for MONTHS at a time before finding a job.
I am thankful for friends and family who keep me positive because I know that without them I would spiral into a world of depression. So thanks for all the kind words and cheerful thoughts everyone!!!!!
Still Looking For A Job
So I am still looking for a job and it is harder than I thought. I have joined a number of job boards and posted my resume in a few different places. I got referrals from people who thought there might be openings but all I was told is they will keep my resume on file.
I have gotten a TON of rejections and they mainly stem from two major issues:
-I am overqualified
-I lack experience
‘Frugal’ Tips That I Will NOT Try: Dumpster Diving
*’Frugal’ Tips That I Will NOT Try: Make Your Own Soap .
This blog is mainly about how I find ways to save money and I have tried a LOT of different things in the past. I read other blogs to look for tips on things I can do to reduce my expenses so that I can work on reducing debt and building wealth.
I have found a few frugal tips out that have been great and there also a few that really freak me out!!!! I decided to start a little series of Frugal Tips That I will NOT try so you can get a better idea of some of the things I think are too extreme.

Some Of The Fun Things I Would Like To Do This Summer
This year I will have most of the summer free because I have no courses due. I have taken all of the teacher training that I can for the year as well so apart from looking for a new job I really don’t have anything to do.
I have not taken a vacation in a long while and I have a bunch of money in the Splurge Fund so I have made a list of things that I would like to do this summer:
-Go to a water park
-Color and cut my hair professionally (hey my birthday is in the middle of summer)
-Houston carnival
-Go to Six Flags
-Go to Vegas
-Miami carnival
-Visit friends in New York
