Welcome to How I Save Money and tracking of income and expenses for the month.

Penny.GIF

Income for the month to date: $4.30

Expenses for the month to date: $768.87

Net effect: -$764.57

As I mentioned before last month I was able to stay under my total budget even though I went over the food and gas categories. This month I plan on having a better handle on each and every category of my budget so that I can save money somewhere.

Penny.GIF

Income for the month to date: $213.46

Expenses for the month to date: $2029.91

Net effect: -$1816.45

Wow I just blew my budget this month when it comes to Personal and Non Food items. I bought some lotion and body wash at Bath and Body Works this weekend, bringing my Personal budget to $17.43 over the budget for the month.

I also bought some expanding crystals for my new bamboo plant which came to $5.41 and brought my Miscellaneous Mad Money budget to a total of $63.47, which is $20 over the $40 budgeted for the month .

Tracking My Finances in April: Day 7

April 8th, 2008 by LuLuGal

Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month.

Penny.GIF

Income for the month to date: $38.33

Expenses for the month to date: $835.46

Net effect: -$797.13

Income for the month represented a little bit of blog income and a few cents interest on my paltry savings. The humongous expenses for the month thus far were:

  1. rent
  2. utilities and
  3. credit card payments

Oh how I long for the day when I no longer have credit card payments like this. I am slowly working my way out of debt and with God’s help I will be free of the chains of debt.

Tracking my Finances in April: Day 1

April 1st, 2008 by LuLuGal

Welcome to my daily tracking of income and expenses for the month at How I Save Money.

Penny.GIF

Income for the month to date: $0.00

Expenses for the month to date: $719.36

Net effect: -$719.36

I am beginning to hate being paid on the last day of the month because it always has me starting off with a negative cash flow. I got paid yesterday so that income has to go on the March report….yet I have rent and other things due today.

Stopped Tracking Finances in March

March 27th, 2008 by LuLuGal

I stopped looking to see if I could save money in March because I have gone way over my budget. My mother came up to stay with me to take care of me since I had my surgery and I just know that I blew my budget for the month. I bought more food since she obviously does not eat the way I do….she eats meat and I don’t even eat chicken.

Got My Repayments from Lending Club

March 14th, 2008 by LuLuGal

I recently wrote about how I just Paid My First Loan Payment from LendingClub but now I want to talk about my experiences as a lender.

I set up a small amount of $100 a few months ago to lend out as loans on LendingClub because I wanted to see if I could make some money online in addition to finding ways to save money.

I got everything set up and looked at the various dates that my payments were supposed to come in. Now would only be receiving amounts around 78 cents for each $25 that I lent out because I chose some of the less risky loans that naturally came with slightly lower interest rates.

How to make $900 an Hour

March 13th, 2008 by LuLuGal

You can make $900 an hour by doing these simple steps:

Step One: bend over to pick up a quarter

Step Two: repeat step one 3,600 times.

I only got through to step one today while I was walking back to my class, so I made 25 cents.Ă‚ That means I am 25 cents richer today and that money goes into the quarter jar for laundry this weekend.
