Join PineCone Research
One of the ways to save money that I talk about is actually a way to make more money. PineCone Research is looking for new members to take surveys and test products and earn money.
All you have to do is sign up and they will send you short surveys to fill out and then you can earn cash for your efforts. They pay by check but the surveys take about 5 to 10 minutes and are very simple to fill out. Only one person per household may register as they track an address as one entry. So if there are multiple people in your household only ONE person may register or all other accounts with that address will be voided.

PineCone Research is looking for more people to do paid surveys and I have been given some referrals to hand out. PineCone is simple to use, they send you an email with a link to a survey which lasts from about 1 to 5 minutes.
You get paid for every survey you do via PayPal. Right now I have only been getting the $3 surveys but for clicking responses for about 1 to 1.5 minutes that is a good return.
You can also get sample items from the company that is conducting the research so be on the lookout for goodies in your mailbox.
Reusable Toilet Wipes (Poopy Cloth Patrol)
I found this site called WallyPop that sells Resuable Family Toilet Wipes.

Now these wipes are simply cloths that you use instead of toilet paper, sort of like baby wipes. The main difference is that unlike baby wipes, these wipes are made of a washable material….sort of like cloth diapers.
You use the wipe and then toss it into some container and wash in the machine when you have a load (pardon the pun).
Credit Card Craziness!
Credit card companies sometimes do some really strange things that just confuse me. I have a card that I do not use currently because I am getting better offers from some other cards.
I received a new card in the mail from the company and this immediately spurred me to check my credit report because I had not ordered a new card. The expiration date on the current card was far away and since I was not using the card I knew exactly where it was and that the balance was zero.

If you have any kind of online presence then you must have heard of how using social media can help you to drive traffic to your site. There are a number of ways that you can get people to come to your site but first they have to hear about it.
You can use services like IZEA, which is a social site that exposes your work to a large number of people . When you use this service you can look for other blogs or websites to sponsor and they will write reviews of your site.
Lending Club and Sign up issues
I am a lender on Prosper and I kept hearing about Lending Club so I decided to try that out too.
Lender Sign up is Easy
It was easy enough to join as a lender until I saw what they did to verify the account. Normally, when you have to verify an account online the place you are trying to verify sends a small deposit to your account.
Not Lending Club!!!
They actually withdrew a small amount from my account.
What?
This amount was then kept in my balance as part of the funds I would have available to lend in the future.
