How I Save Money At CVS: 30 August 2010
On this trip I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $32.75 worth of items. I have not been to CVS for a few weeks because I did not like the selection of things that offered ECBs back and I would not do my regular shopping at CVS because Walmart is lower priced.
I finally saw a few things that I wanted and could give to a friend and the combination of the coupons I had just sweetened the deal for me.

How I Save Money At CVS: 25 July 2010
Today I paid $15.84 out of pocket for $42.27 worth of items. At first it looks like a good deal but I am mad at myself for two reasons. The first is that I was trying to not spend ANY money out of pocket and simply rely on the gift cards that I got from one of my cash back cards. The second reason is that I could have spent a lot LESS if I had broken this into two transactions, instead of being lazy and just doing one big one.

I am always trying to find ways to save money or to make more money and I talk about being frugal.
This does not mean that I do not spend money and in fact here is a list of a few things that I am glad I spent the extra money on.
My Electric Toothbrush: I got this as a Christmas present and recently had to buy new heads for the brush.
How I Save Money At CVS: 27 June 2010
Today I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $10.83 worth of items. I ended up doing this transaction three times because the first time I got Lysol instead of Oust which was listed on the deal. Then after returning all of it the Oust was the wrong size and the third time there was no more of the correct size.
The cashier was very nice about it and simply told me to go get the correct item and she would let me cut in line next time. In fact she was so sweet that the total came to $0.83 when she had entered my coupons but she forced the register to $0. There is another cashier who makes me pay the difference, even if it is $0.07 so I was happy today!!!!!
Tracking My Finances In 2010: June Week 3
I have decided to post my weekly spending for the previous week on Fridays so you know how my cash has been flowing for the week. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.
This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.
How I Save Money At CVS: 10 May 2010
Today I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $8.49 worth of items. I got both of the FREE items from CVS this week and I am pleased with the purchases. There were a few other items that gave out extra bucks but I really wanted just the free items to make sure I used up my ECBs that were about to expire.
I also remembered to bring in my reusable bag so I will be getting the credit for using that after the next three visits.

Today I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $2.99 worth of items. I only got one tube of toothpaste as I had some ECBs that were about to expire and I did not want the ‘free’ items this week. I was also lucky enough to scan my reusable shopping bag and get $1 ECB from that.
