How I Save Money At CVS: 1 November 2010
On this trip I paid $12.70 out of pocket for $23.98 worth of items. I was trying to make this my last CVS trip as I want to take a break for the rest of the year, but I miscalculated and actually got items that gave me ECBs that I do not want to go to waste. I got the diabetes monitor for my father and since this is November there may be another sale on diabetes supplies at the end of the month.
How I Save Money At CVS: 13 October 2010
On this trip I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $10.99 worth of items. I have given away or used most of my stash of body wash and I was down to the last bottle so I thought this was a good time to stock up again. I am also on my second to last toothpaste because I donated or used all the rest.
I forgot my reusable bag (and the cashier asked me about it because she remembers me) but I was able to get a $1 ECB from the machine at the front so it was still a good haul for the day.

Monthly Financial Update August 2010
I made it through the month of August 2010 and came out $469.13 in the black!!!!! I almost lost my mind when I saw those figures and had to go back and double check because I knew I spent a lot and was over budget in a lot of areas and had even used some splurge fund money as well. The reason for still being in the black despite the extra spending was due to a small bonus I got for attending training and workshops over the summer, as well as some advertising on the blog.
How I Save Money At CVS: 30 August 2010
On this trip I paid $0.00 out of pocket for $32.75 worth of items. I have not been to CVS for a few weeks because I did not like the selection of things that offered ECBs back and I would not do my regular shopping at CVS because Walmart is lower priced.
I finally saw a few things that I wanted and could give to a friend and the combination of the coupons I had just sweetened the deal for me.

How I Save Money At CVS: 25 July 2010
Today I paid $15.84 out of pocket for $42.27 worth of items. At first it looks like a good deal but I am mad at myself for two reasons. The first is that I was trying to not spend ANY money out of pocket and simply rely on the gift cards that I got from one of my cash back cards. The second reason is that I could have spent a lot LESS if I had broken this into two transactions, instead of being lazy and just doing one big one.
Transaction 1
Item: 2 Arm and Hammer laundry detergent (will be giving to a friend)
My Top Five Favorite Things In Pictures
I saw this post at You Have More Than You Think and decided to do a similar one.
I am always trying to find ways to save money or to make more money and I talk about being frugal.
This does not mean that I do not spend money and in fact here is a list of a few things that I am glad I spent the extra money on.
My Electric Toothbrush: I got this as a Christmas present and recently had to buy new heads for the brush.
