Just Pulled A Credit Report
I just pulled one of my credit reports from the ONLY site that is totally FREE. To get your free credit report directly from the three agencies you need to go annualcreditreport.com to log in.
Once you have filled in the necessary identifying information on the first page you will be able to request a credit report from
- Experian
- Equifax
- Transunion.
You can request all three at the same time or you can do what I do, which is request one from each bureau every four months so that you spread out the reports over a full year.
I Pulled My Credit Report…Oops
It is usually a good thing in the personal finance world when you pull your credit report so why am I mad that I pulled mine this time? Well I was not thinking clearly when I went to annualcreditreport.com and pulled TWO reports on the same date.
I am now left with only one report that I can pull for the rest of the year and we still have TEN months left!!!! A friend of mine recently had his identity breached, with someone trying to open multiple accounts using his information. This had me spooked and pulled out my spreadsheet of credit report requests only to find out that I had not requested any official reports last year.
Credit Score Report Card From CreditKarma
I have been using Credit Karma for a while now to track one free credit score. They recently introduced the Credit Report Card which gives you a grade on various aspects of things that make up your credit score.
If you are not already a member of Credit Karma I suggest that you go over there right now and sign up for an account. You enter a bit of information about yourself and authorize them to pull your credit report. This will be a ‘soft’ pull since it is was requested by you and will not adversely affect your credit report.
Help A Reader: Bad Credit
Hello everyone!!!
I recently got the following comment from a reader and wanted to include you all in the assistance process.
“How would I start to fix just horrible credit? I doubt I will ever be able to come out of it, but I now know the horrible truth that I wasnt taught at a younger age. I have defaulted on every card I have ever had. I am only 22, so I hope I still have time to dig myself out. I need to change my life, with money, but I just need help in the right direction. I am looking at about 17k in debt.”
Credit Report Time!!!!!
It is time to order your FREE credit report again from www.annualcreditreport.com. Since you can only order one free credit report every twelve months from one of the credit bureaus, it is best to space them out and order one every four months.
That way you will be better able to see changes in your credit file over the year instead of having to wait a whole twelve months for the next set of reports.
You can get your free credit report from
Transunion
Equifax
Experian

I Got a B on My Bills IQ
Welcome to How I Save Money. I took the Bills IQ quiz to see what I knew about my bills and Credit card debt and I got an overall score of 82% which is a B . A low B at that. I barely scraped the B rating and this upsets me very much because I thought I had a better handle on my finances, even though I do not make a lot of money.
The Bills IQ site gives you a quiz and you pick the best answer as it relates to your current situation. The site then gives you a score and after that you can review some tips on how to better manage your credit and get a better life score.
Ovation Credit Services Review (Advertisement)
Since many of us are very concerned with our credit reports I have been asked to review this credit repair site and produce this advertisement for them. I went over to Ovation Credit Services to see what they offered and how it could benefit me and my readers when it came to managing our credit.
The first thing I noticed is that the site is very well laid out with eye catching graphics. I like pretty looking icons since they draw my attention and this site is full of clean lines and interesting images. This makes it easy to navigate the site, which is very easy to use.
