Adventures In Couponing

Posted by LuLuGal | November 28, 2011 .

I went to the store with a very simple purchase of less than 10 items and only ONE coupon. Some people say they give the coupons to the cashier at the end of the transaction so that all the coupons can just be scanned back to back.

I prefer to give my coupon with the item because that way I can identify what coupon goes with what (for a program I am enrolled in that asks to track that kind of thing). It also makes it easy to identify when I have a coupon for a “buy 3 get 1 free” or “only valid on X size or larger” item. That way the cashier does not have to go digging through the bags at the end to find out if the coupon actually matches the item.

It takes time and money to stay healthy – gym memberships, exercise equipment, diet programs, and hours out of your week exercising and preparing healthy meals. But it also costs money to be unhealthy. According to the World Health Organization, physically active Americans saved around $500 per year in health care costs in 2003. So, if you’re going to be spending money on your health either way, why not exercise and save money?

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the sting in the tail comes when it’s time to replace your ink and toner cartridges. Tracking My Finances In 2011: October Week 2

Posted by LuLuGal | October 14, 2011 .

I have decided to post my weekly spending for the previous week on Fridays so you know how my cash has been flowing for the week. Please note that I get paid on the last day of the month so my cash flow net effect will usually be negative until the last day of the month.

This does not mean that I am adding to my debt, it just means that the money coming in is less than the money going out because bills are due starting on the first but I don’t get paid until the last day.

Help In Deciding Who To Hire For The Move (Guest Post)

Posted by LuLuGal | October 3, 2011 .

Moving is a bit stressful. But it depends upon the way you perceive things. Proper planning and organizing skills will remove hassle from your move. The moment you get to know that you would have to move from your existing home, you start looking for an experienced removal company, which can shoulder the overall responsibility of moving your possessions without damage.

Now the question arises- What is the criteria to judge the credibility and expertise of a removal company? There is no gauge to measure the genuineness of a moving firm, but there is certainly a criteria you should take into account, before bestowing the responsibility of moving on a removal company. You can narrow your search by asking a few questions from moving companies to help avoid overspending on a move.

5 Unnecessary Things You’re Paying For Every Month (Guest Post)

Posted by LuLuGal | September 19, 2011 .

If you’re like me, you’ve subscribed to about 100 different little things online – most of which just take money out of your bank account every month. Like a lot of web developers, I’m sort of a sucker for little programs that promise to make my life easier (and some of them actually work). But there are many that I sign up for, only to stop using them a month later and forget that they even draw from my account. Obviously, if I had an accountant, he’d be tearing his hair out looking at my monthly bank statement.
