Income for the month to date: $7.40

Expenses for the month to date: $925.42

Net effect: -$918.02

Here I am once again with a negative balance at the beginning of the month because I get paid at the end of the month and most of my bills are due during the first week.  My expenses so far for the month have been rent (which went up….and I now have to pay insurance on the apartment), utilities and some fast food I bought while visiting mother in the hospital.

My income so far was mostly interest on my savings and also a $3 payment from Pinecone for surveys I took.

I am having some issues with calculating figures this month because there are some expenses that are directly related to my mother being in the hospital, which she has given me money for. This money is being kept separate from my regular savings so I do not want to calculate it as income. Now when I spend money to refill her prescriptions I can definitely say that is separate…but how do I account for gas when I also have to go to workshops AND drive to the hospital.

I am going to have to be a little creative with the numbers this week because I do not want to mix up the two sets of expenses and mess up my budget.

Hmmmm. I really have to work on this one.
