I am not getting married BUT I have been reading a few bridal magazines lately. I found out that many people tend to go overboard and go over their budgets when a wedding comes around.

Here is a wedding money mistake that people often make.

8. Over Feeding The Guests

Your guests do not need to eat a full five course meal at your wedding. Many people (well the ones I know anyway) expect to go to a wedding and eat constantly for a few hours and take a bulging plate of food home.

This is not necessary, unless you really want to play the mother hen and feed everyone.

People waste a lot of food at weddings. I used to work as a caterer and it was amazing the amount of food that got thrown away. The team leader would let us take some of the food because there would be stuff like bottles of wine where someone only poured one glass and then they did not want any more.

We would have two cheesecakes per table, along with other deserts and if someone only took two slices of cheesecake then the rest would go to waste.

The wedding party needs to remember that their guests should feel comfortable, but it is not your job to provide meals for the next three days for your guests.
