Welcome to Money Mondays!

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net or in your feed reader, it may have been stolen from my site.)

I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. Normally I go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. Now I  will post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

This week my financial outflows were:

$18.39 on a pair of emergency shoes. The strap of my right shoe broke while I was out to lunch with a friend. We were headed to the mall so I decided to buy a pair of shoes to replace my broken ones. I could have gotten a $4 pair of flip flops to last until I got home but I needed to actually replace the sandals. I now have a pair of sandals that I can wear on a regular basis.

$44.90 for the electric bill. This is a low bill which is great since it is getting hot again. We have had temperatures over 100 at least 4 days a week. I am not going on campus as often as in the Spring since I do not teach face to face any more. This means I need to run the air conditioning more often, especially since I won’t leave my cat in the heat when I am not at home.

This week my financial inflows were:

$50 in Swagbucks Walmart gift cards. I made enough to redeem a $25 gift card and then found another one from three months ago that I forgot to redeem.
