Income for the month to date: $2560.52
Expenses for the month to date: $1629.40
Net effect: $931.12
I just realized that I have? not been posting figures for December’s income and expenses. It is now halfway through the month and so far I think I am in pretty good shape. I have developed a nice little rhythm for paying bills and it has been working quite well.
There is a good balance in the flow of cash into and out of my accounts so I feel comfortable with the way things are going. I do have a confession to make. I was having my salary deposited to my Wells Fargo account…which earns no interest. I am going to send in one of those forms to have my salary deposited directly into my ING account. This is because it takes about 10 days for the money to become available when I do a transfer from my checking account to ING and I do not like the money being in limbo that long and not gaining interest.

Wow ten days. I think Wells Fargo is hurting you there. It only takes ours 1-3 days to show up.
You and I have similar income/expense amounts. You’re not doing bad at all–with xmas shopping I’m not too impressed with myself. It’s gonna be a strict January! (haha)
