I just wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday today. As you celebrate Martin Luther King day today please remember to take some time to think about what today really means.
Dr. King fought for equality and fair treatment and went through a lot to get his point across.
His supporters were beaten and jailed so that people could enjoy the same rights and freedoms as everyone else. So I challenge you today to do something nice for someone today while you are celebrating!!!!
Would have commented earlier, but had the day off. I would like to than MLK and others like him for fighting for civil rights. My family is interracial and they paved the way for us to enjoy this freedom openly in my community.
Whenever I read of his struggles and what he and his supporters went through, it really saddens me. All people are created equal and we must always remember that throughout our lifetime.
