Welcome to Money Mondays!

I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. Normally I go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. Now I will post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net or in your feed reader, it may have been stolen from my site.)

This week my financial outflows were:

$146.28 for the cable and internet bills. I’ve thought about getting rid of the cable when my contract runs out in the next two months. This is something I’ve lived without in the past. I paid for internet only, and used Hulu and YouTube for anything I wanted to watch. We will see how I feel.

I spent $12.76 on silicone sponges and a dish brush from Amazon. My go to for dishwashing has always been sponges. I’m not a fan of my apartment dishwasher because I always feel like it does not do a good job. There is also the issue of not using enough dishes in a day to make filling it up by the end of the week practical. Then I don’t want to have dirty dishes sitting around for a whole week! I hand wash my dishes every day and sanitize my sponges about every two weeks. This is still not enough apparently and can still cause breeding of bacteria. I’ve read that silicone sponges are much better so I’m going to try those out and wean myself off my regular sponges if they work.

This is the summary of my financial inflows and financial outflows for the past week. I think I’ve done pretty good with managing my money the last few days. This is because of some of the stocking up I did earlier in the year. A lot of it is also because of just not spending as much because of the COVID19 restrictions.
