Every Friday I post about my finances for the week in an effort to monitor my income and expenses. I used to post all of the actual figures but I have recently decided to stop doing this.

I will now post SOME of my actual expenses and leave the rest to your imagination. All income and expenses are recorded in Mint and any amounts are rolled over into the next month.

This week my expenses were:

$10 for a massage. This was actually the tip amount, which I did not mind paying since the massage itself was free to me. I had gotten a gift certificate for the massage as a birthday gift and just kept it for the month after my birthday. It was a one hour massage and I checked the time and it actually lasted for 55 minutes. I was really pleased with the service so I did not mind paying only $10 for what I got.

I spent $9.73 on items for work. I am teaching in the classroom again this semester and I want to dress up a little and not look like a student on the days I teach. This has meant that I need to get a few nicer items like shirts, and pants that are not jeans.

I also paid rent at my new, lower rate for the month which is awesome since the electric bill was now higher since I no longer have the cap amount.

We got paid this week so that is great as well.
