Yes that was ME in front of you today….
…driving ssssslllloooowwwllllyyy up to the red light. I will never understand why people rev up their engines when they can clearly see a red light up ahead. If I see a red light I take my foot off the gas and coast up to the light. In fact I do this sometimes when I see the orange light ahead.
I figure that by the time I get to the light it will be red and I do not want to have to brake to stop at the light. I have gotten this method down to where I can coast to most lights I am familiar with and come to a stop without needing to use the brakes at all.
So go ahead, honk if you want. Pass me irritably and look at me as you swing back in front of me without indicating and see if I care. I am not the one speeding up only to have to slam on the brakes and come to a screeching halt at the light that you could clearly see was going to change from twenty feet away.
