Welcome to Money Mondays! I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. I normally go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. I will now post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net it may have been stolen from my site.)

This week my financial outflows were:

$25.45 on fruits and vegetables for the week. I use these as snacks during the day as a way to increase my intake of healthy food.

$21.51 on two body oils and one lotion from Ulta. They are regularly priced at around $12 each but were on sale this week so I decided to stock up since it was almost a 50% discount.

Sale - Bags

$15.00 for dues to an organization that I belong to. This is required to remain as a member in good standing and it is something that will look great on my resume!

The electric bill came in at $82.95 which is still high but expected because it has been really cold lately. We are getting into the warmer months but I will be getting a new room mate in the apartment and I have no idea what that person is like with regards to electricity usage. I will just have to wait and see what happens.

I paid $34.99 to file my taxes using TurboTax. I normally file for free but this year I had some issues that needed the upgraded version of the software. Of course I used my Citi Double cash card to pay for this item so that I could at least get 2% of the amount back instead of not getting anything at all from it.

This week my financial inflows were:

$4.25 from a class action lawsuit settlement. It is a small amount and it was something I joined a very long time ago so it was quite a surprise. In any case I am happy to get even that small amount because every dollar helps!
