Welcome to Money Mondays!

I apologize for going a week without posting. I had my REALLY big exam last week and I have been studying for  long time for that.

My birthday is this week…actually on Friday and that is when we should be getting the results from our exam as well.

I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. I normally go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. I will now post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

This week my financial outflows were:

$37 for my portion of the shared phone bill. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to be on a shared plan with responsible individuals who take care of their own portion of the bills.

I also paid rent this week because it was due on the first. $71.25 for the electric bill. It has been unreasonably hot these last few weeks so the air conditioner has come on quite a bit. I see that it will be high from now on since the new roommate moves in this month and I really cannot control what someone else does. I can only hope that we have similar temperaments so that we do not have fights over how hot or cold the apartment needs to be.

$69.52 on four household/personal items. I know that is a lot but the bulk of that was on some Crest Whitestrips so I can whiten my teeth. My birthday is this month (yay!) and I whiten my teeth every year in July as part of my birthday gift to myself.

This week my financial inflows were:

I got paid and my little graduate student paycheck is sitting comfortably in my checking account for a few days. I pay my bills via credit card so I can earn points as well, and then pay the credit card from my checking account.
