Welcome to Money Mondays!

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net or in your feed reader, it may have been stolen from my site.)

I used to post my financial inflows and outflows on Fridays in the past but I decided to move this to Mondays instead. Normally I go grocery shopping on Sundays after church. Now I will post the last week’s worth of financial inflows and outflows on Monday so that I can include the weekend spending as well.

This week my financial outflows were:

$85.85 for household items and groceries. This included a 24 pack of canned cat food for the princess. The cans are 3 ounces and she gets 1 per day in addition to being free fed her dry food.

$14.83 for a new planner. They were listed at $27 but were on sale today. I got this one to use as my desk calendar at work. It is bright and colorful and I just wanted a change from the ones we get at work. We do get a free calendar at work every year they are black and white. This year I wanted something bright and pretty. There was another one I really liked and I had a hard time deciding between the two. I may ‘just’ go back and get the other one for home use since they are so cheap.

$28.02 for gas. My tank was close to about half full but I filled up since the weather is nice.

$97.99 for two winter coats. I had a very heavy one for the serious winter days and it somehow developed a hole running down the side. I also got a lighter weight jacket for casual or slightly warmer days.

$55.83 for groceries. I did not shop at my regular store which is closer to home. It was cold and snowing and I just wanted to get done quickly so I could be at home. I decided to use the store which is five minutes from my place and had to pay the price of higher food for my convenience.

This week my financial inflows were:

$25.00 from redeeming some points from a credit card. I will now deposit any of these credit card refunds into the Fresno fund so that it can grow.
