Welcome to Meet the Blogger Mondays. Last Monday we featured *Save For House* and today’s post features *TMac* from *My Financial Odyssey*.

You can see the questions highlighted below and then the responses taken directly from *TMac* .

Begin Interview

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging for one main reason – to hold myself accountable. I know that some friends, family and some strangers will see those numbers every month and I like to do my best to make sure they are tracking in the right direction.

How long have you been blogging?

I have blogging about my finances for just over a year. I started on Feb 17, 2007.

Are you a part time blogger or full time blogger?

Part Time (Some of the Time)

Treadmill

What keeps you motivated?

The community of PF bloggers keeps me motivated. It sounds cliche, but it is helpful knowing that you aren’t the only one out there trying to get your finances in order.
Do your loved ones know about your blog?

Yes, but I don’t think they check it.

Do you disclose real numbers on your blog?

All numbers related to my personal financial situation are real.

Are all the posts true events or do you make up stories?

Yes, but sometimes names and such are changed to protect the innocent/guilty.

What three bloggers inspire you the most?

You of course!

But other than you there is Reggie (http://reggiebkwgc.blogspot.com/),

ChiTown (http://chitownblues.blogspot.com/), and JVW (http://thegoodlifeonabudget.blogspot.com/).

What is the most important thing you want your readers to take from your blog?

I would like people to take away the fact that they are not alone on their journey to fix their finances.

What do you wish you knew before you started blogging?

I wish I knew how much time it would consume. Thinking about blog topics and promoting your blog takes alot of time.

pennyWhat is your favorite money management tip?

Actively engage with your finances. Set a plan and work for your dreams.
What is the best thing about blogging?

I love the near instant feedback. If I make a post in the morning I usually get feedback the same day. Reader’s opinions and advice help inform my own opinions.
What is the worst thing about blogging?

I have so much to write about, but not nearly the time in the day to make the blog into what I want it to be.

What would your readers be most surprised to find out about you now?

I don’t know, I am pretty forthright on my blog.

What are your plans for the blog in the next 12 months?

I am adopting the “Get Rich Slowly” mantra to my blogs growth since I don’t have a great deal of time to commit to growing an audience. Slow and steady wins the race!
