Welcome to Money Mondays!

This is the last money post for January because February starts tomorrow. I can’t believe we are already into the second month of the new year.

This is where I track my cash inflows and outflows for the week. I will not post the following two items for personal reasons:

-salary

-rent information

Everything else will be listed and is a total of my spending on items for the prior week.

(If you are not reading this post at www.howisavemoney.net or in your feed reader, it may have been stolen from my site.)

This week my financial outflows were:

$34.95 to renew some blog related items for the next five years.

$91.45 for groceries. This number is actually being shifted into the February budget because I shopped early. I could have waited until February 1st to go shopping but I have a lot of work to complete. I wanted to get it done early so I could do some extra food prepping to have food for work.

$108.82 on some non food items, including two pairs of boots. I got a pair of Ugg-like boots for wearing around the home to go to the mailbox and take out trash. It is very cold here and our snow is not melting. I don’t have a pair of warm shoes I can throw on except for my regular boots.

I also got a pair of wedge booties in grey. All of my boots and work shoes are black and I wanted to try something new. The only shoes I do not have in black are a pair of sneakers! I’m trying to branch out a little more with my clothing choices. The grey shoes should work great because the majority of my work pants are some shade of grey.

$51.62 to fill up my gas tank. With the freezing temperatures I find myself using a LOT of gas. My commute now takes about 45 minutes each way and I have the heat going at some level for all of it. This eats up a lot of gas, especially as my car is on the older side. I was at close to only a quarter tank left, which is my minimum acceptable level. I always fill up when I notice I’m getting close to only a quarter left.

This week my financial inflows were:

$.
