Researching prices can help you save money. It does not have to be time consuming…just a few seconds can net you some savings.

I normally do my shopping for essentials at Walmart….I talk about this all the time. Usually, I purchase online to make the most of Swagbucks and Ebates, then pick up in store on my way home from work or church.

I keep a running list on my phone of the items I need as I use them up. Then I add them to the online shopping list so I can make a monthly purchase. Sometimes I end up going into the store and will purchase an item that I have run low on that will not last until the online order.

This time I needed to get lotion. I normally use Aveeno or Palmer’s Cocoa butter since those work best for my skin. I tried Gold Bond with Aloe and fell in love.

I decided to order it online and started researching prices at Walmart and Amazon to see where I could get the best deal. When I checked Walmart, the site alerted me that the price was lower in the store.

What are the prices?

Online price: $6.02

In store price: $4.97

I needed to go into the store to get some perishables so I decided to pick this up while I was there. Researching the prices only took a few seconds to pull up on two websites and I saved some money in the process.
